Greetings all,
 
Thank you for visiting Mu Zeta’s website. We have been serving the Baton Rouge community for over 87 years. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Mu Zeta Chapter is an action-oriented community- conscious organization. We are a Panhellenic Greek organization that is 120 members strong with diverse backgrounds.  We are part of the “Mighty” Southern Region, which includes Texas as well as Louisiana.

​Our chapter extends to our blue and white family with the Amicae of Baton Rouge, friends of Zeta, youth auxiliaries, Pearlettes, Amicettes, and Archonettes, and the Zeta Male Network.  Our sponsors of these auxiliaries are trained and vested in their membership. I am excited to lead this Premier chapter into the next phase. Leaving a bold and lasting footprint in the Baton Rouge community will forever be our trademark. It will be exhilarating to see us grow as a chapter in the Baton Rouge community and expound on the efforts of our predecessors. We are the largest chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated in Louisiana and third in the region.

Mu Zeta possesses a rich history of leadership and firsts. Not only in the Baton Rouge community but in the sorority as well. Currently, we have two members who serve in the Louisiana legislature: Representative Dr. Barbara West Carpenter and Senator Regina Ashford Barrow. We are also home to two Past International Presidents, Ms. Isabel Morgan Herson, and Dr. Barbara West Carpenter the 16th and 21st President, respectively.
